darc0d3, can you confirm the md5 for the updated version.  The one you have linked doesn't match up.

and @@@Corr@@@
when the md5 dosn't coincide ,
remastersys creates the exact md5 , but during the burning process some files get corrupted.
so don't worry , it is not my fault. ;)
I asked D4rk  for this and it's own point of view. :)

yes its true , remastersys creates the iso and its md5 file , most of the time during download , burn or installation , one or more files in the iso gets corrupted .
If you sat a monkey down in front of a keyboard, the first thing typed would be
a unix command.

Yes it is true. I have tried many many times on debian based distros and cannot get it to work. good luck.

if you want an OS that can easily install ati drivers on try this one:

KK thanks. Your backbox distro is working with fglrx but wanted to try debian for a change.. Would try and see how it goes.

I was only asking because I have tried. I have tried with every driver available, have reinstalled probably 75 times trying to get it to work. Honestly I would rather be running a Debian distro because they seem to be a little bit faster, but I cannot live with the fact that I paid extra $ for a good GPU and cant use it. At one time I had figured it out and could get it to work, but something has changed to where it doesn't work any more. I dont know if they changed something in the kernel or what, but it just wont work no matter how I do it.  :(

also anytime you want to add any modules to the kernel make sure you have the right headers for your kernel.
There are two types of Systems Administrators, those that have been hacked and those that don't know they've been hacked. Which one are you?
