ahhh cool, thanks ZEROF that is the same problem I was running into, now I can try it out again. I should have know it was that, because sometimes remastersys has the same issue and you need to edit out that line in the config file.

I fixed mine before you released this by doing
Code: [Select]
sudo dpkg-reconfigure resolveconf

Another error I have found is that while logged in as root you cannot adjust the volume for your speakers. It does work in user account.

Everyone knows logging in as root is not recommended, but that's not a reason for not answering your question :)

When you login as root, two things need to be done, you need to add to panel "Indicator plugin" (Settings>Settings Manager>Panel>Items>Click on +>Add "Indicator plugin"), then run in terminal :

pulseaudio -D

And if you want to start after boot, i made this small edit for /etc/rc.conf

nano /etc/rc.conf

And add before "exit 0"

pulseaudio -D

It's not bug, just system is not made for that kind of use. If you have other solution you can propose, but i find this one simple.

Have fun !

Very true ZEROF but our users like logging in as root... I know we tell admin and other users not to log in this way but it's much easier. I know myself I was taught  never to log into the machine with root access but when I came here I got use to logging in as root.

I once in a while log in as a user but it slows me down always inputting my password. So it's a catch 22 ... lol... by the way thanks for sharing your info on the backbox OS.

I know  myself I like the OS and other users too...it's a clean OS to have no like other OS that have a tone of things that you never use.
** Dont' judge me! **
