Thinking this morning a bit in regards to GBM's post and some of the old skool hackers of the 80's.. this is a good article if you have 3 minutes to spare about one of the guys from The Inner Circle. About a time before computer hacking laws existed, but certainly a turning point in that respect. I love how 'back in the day' hacking wasn't about financial gain (generalization) but about curiosity and a desire to learn, or usually just trying to access BBS that weren't local. Most times the 'crime' was just making free calls or general tom-foolery (I sound like my dad) doing things like deleting random emails or changing account names.
