Hey folks,

For those of you interested in learning how to create a new Arch Linux installation from the ground up, here's a great video that will walk you through the process:

I'd highly recommend supplementing the video by reading the Arch Wiki as you follow along. Cheers!  :P

I have been using evo/lution to install Arch. IT is a command line installer that is similar to Debians command line installer. If you know how to use Debians installer you can definitely use this :-) I have tested it in virtual box and on a quad boot hard drive. It seems to work really well.

If you're installing Arch Linux for the first time and choose to automate the process, you're cheating yourself out of an incredible learning opportunity. Doing it by hand will give you a deeper understand of how the Linux operating system is structured. You can always save your configs and automate later. Do yourself a favor and at least give it a shot, it's actually a lot of fun  :)
