hey guys so i picked up a used dell that has windows 7 on it and the problem is i don't know the password for the admin user is there any easy way to bypass it or change it

You could try Konboot or Ophcrack on it

I use Offline Password Changer on Hirens Boot CD. Works perfect on WinXP and Win7.

use konboot to bypass the password and then reset it.
