BEST SSD
« on: August 24, 2015, 02:58:11 PM »
Just wondering which SSD SATA 111 drive you guys would recommend.
l'm falling between the Sandisk Extreme Pro 240 and a Samsung 850 Pro 256 - sandisk being the cheaper option.

l want to install it on a Lenovo ldeapad Flex 10. l've read that it improves performance by 50%.

Also, is a 240 ssd faster than a 120?

Thanks

Thanks zero, yea l think l'll look into the Samsung again. Always had a good experience with Samsung products.
Although, atm it looks like there's going to be a problem with Linux on the Lenovo because of some boot restrictions - damn.

Neever tested it with linux to be honest, work's flawless with windows7.
Good luck what ever you decide to do.

Samsung is solid.
Crucial and Kingston are decent.
Stay away from Corsair and OCZ SSDs.

Generally, the bigger the capacity the faster the drive.

240/120 is just the size it doesn't have anything to do with read/write speed also I always get Western Digital hard drives but I've got samsung ram in everything I own and its pretty good (it hasn't failed) also check out this article http://www.cnet.com/topics/storage/best-hard-drives-and-storage/ssd/

there are lots of samsungs in that article from cnet personally I usally but wd but I only have HDD's I don't run SSD's in anything I own because I'm a broke ass hobbit

Also STAY AWAY FROM SEAGATE
